Default 04 grizzly CDI

Ok I was on ebay the other nigiht see what people are sell for these. One guy claimed that 04 and ealrier grizzly have a lower rev limter than the 05 and new by a 1000rpms, so I if bought one of his my rev limiter would go up 2000rpms. I work at a yamaha shop and never heard of that, I was told That I could install a raptor CDI box. Has any one here tried one of these or a raptor CDI box.
They guys in the shop also think that I should put on the raptor carbs, intake, cam, etc. Has anyone here tried that or what works what doesn't

Hey Cluby, have you thought about just bypassing the rev limiter. Im not sure if this can be done but i dont like keeping my thumb on the button when in a nasty hole. Seems like maybe you just cut the right wire and no more worries about limiter. Any ideas?

ya I think that you can do that, and no I don't keep it WOT in the mud at all, but makes you think though when mine is 1000rpms less than a 05 or 06.
