I was reading my new magazine and they were comparing a Raptor to a DS650. Heres the numbers: Raptor DS650
Top Speed 74.9 74.9
Drag Strip 8.8 sec. 8.6 sec
MX track 53.4 sec. 57.7 sec.
Thats straight from the magazine.

The DS is the new "king" that its newly earned nickname after wining the baja.

I rode them both to these #s. The DS would have gone faster and quicker but it was all over the rev-limiter. The Raptor did not hit a limiter.

I know that mass produced quads will differ from bike to bike but that was what happened between these pair at an actual 1/4 mile NHRA drag strip.

I have to say I am very impressed with the DS650! it may not be the best all around four stroke for jumps/trails but the Baja! I have to say I love it. 2 strokes for life but the DS650 proved itself to be the best machine in the desert!

 

You swapped the drag times its 8.6 for the raptor and 8.8 two tenths slower for the ds
