Grizzly 800?
I think people go big for bragging rights and to satisfy their ego.
Lets face it, who likes second place?? Its great to be on top.
Me myself, i'm buying a Kodiak 450 cause i don't need to spend all that money on a big bore. Don't need all that power or speed to get where i'm going.

I have had a small bore atv for years now. I tend to purchase high end, on anything I purchase, then
keep the items for a long time. Usually when I buy high end the products have a good longevity and
in the end I find out it usually works out to be cheaper in the long run. I prefer a large bore because
I am a very large man and I use equipment to its full potential. I don't like to mud it or use an atv
for speed. Those things mean nothing to me. I do trail ride in mountains where trails are poor to non-
existent and pull heavy items. You see we all have different reasons, we don't have to be ego
maniacs.

You are right, i guess i left out acouple things, some people do need a big bore wheeler. I didn't say that their bad, i just don't need one and really it would be sensless to have one. But i do see your point. Even though it would be nice to have all that power on hand.

so seriously, are you in your 50's. Your sreen name is WIDE OPEN RIDER. That is because to keep up on a 450 you have to be wide open on the throttle. Think of the abuse that little kodiak is taken being wide open to run 45-50. The big bores aren't there to satisfy an ego. They are there for me to raise hell on a weekend when MY BOSS IS DONE SATIFYING HIS EGO!! look man, I am not trying to rip on you, just ride one and see how long that kodiak stays in the garage. I go on a trip every 3-4 months to a different riding location. Buddies of mine always bring smaller machines that go through mud fine but have no nuts at all. I am constantly asked to let my 800(Outlander) be test ridden by the guys that also "are in no hurry to get anywhere" when the truth is no one likes to be beat no matter what they are riding and power is always good to have.

I agree..sheesh I have a 350 bruin...I'll be the first to say its not fast, its not crazy powerfull... But, If you like to trail ride, plow your drive way, go fast enough where you still have to use your breaks in the woods, go through mud, up steep hills you dont have to spend $8k.

well here it goes guys my eyes i agree with most that believe its only gonna be 700 efi. but gut feeling yamaha not going to let us down on this one. yamaha one of big dogs when it comes to performance.look at sport quads yamaha has biggest with 700cc then bomb with650 and all rest only 450-500 .snowsleds look at that new phazer wow .motorcyles look at r1 tremendous for only 1000cc .thats why i could settle for smaller displacement cc long as it has the hp and torque to take the 800 bomb. well just have to wait and see little over month away .almost like kid waiting for santa to come
