Grizzly 800?
#5
I certainly hope they make a big change as I am waiting until the middle of June to find out. I have
taken a ride on a bomb800 and was seriously impressed. The problem is my heart still lies with
Yamaha and I want to see what they give us for 2007. I certainly hope they aren't like Honda and
add another 25cc to the engine. I was a Honda man until they refused to give us what we want.
Now I have stepped away from them and don't plan to go back. Lets see something good Yamaha.
I am waiting to put up the $$.

It is doubtfull, because yamaha(just like all the jap bikes) has the 606 pound weight limit. Honda has already said that they arnt going to join the horespower race, probly because they know they can not win with a 606 pound limit. Bombardier and Polaris dont have the limit because they are north american companys. So if yamaha made a 800, it would have verry many light weight parts(that would break easally).

Yeah, there is such thing as the 800 Grizzly. It was created by Hauck Power Sports. If you want to see it, go to
www.hauckpowersportsinc.com
its on the front page.
and hauck power sports is a dealership in Rice Lake, WI. I grew up right near there. Its where Pat Hauck hails his many crowns.
its not a wheeler is just a big bore kit and i don't think that they are gonna make an 800 either. But i'm sure yamaha wouldn't make something that would break easy like someone else said. Either way, i've seen the 800 in some magazines, it looks like a normal griz with diffrent color and of course a mean mill. I bet it would haul a$$.

I read about the big bore kit for the 660. I have a friend that told me he called a dealer and they told him an actual grizzly 800 would be out in July. I haven't verified any of it but he has never lied to me. I guess I'll have to wait 3 months to see one on a showroom floor.

just a really stupid question here, but why does anyone really need a 800cc fourwheeler. I have fourwheeled for years on a 250 2x4. Ya I bought a 660 grizzly, got a good deal on it. Ya it's nice to have a 4x4 but heck a 450 kodiak is a great all around fourwheeler, but ever one is go big or go home.
