I would like to see yamaha do something with the rapter 350. (essentric Chain adjustment like the rapter 700, better intake, stainless steal headpipe, better reverse procedure, better grap bar, and have alittle more power to keep up with the 400ex, and keep it at the same price). Now that I think would sell more raptor 350's. 700efi grizz will probably be what they do with the grizz I would think would be logical. But to compete with the other 800's out there Yamaha should come out with like a single cylinder 800 to be different. A softer seat on the Raptor 700 and yfz 450 would be nice too.

your prob going to see this on all the OEMs products from now on concerning chain adjustments. HONDA had the patent on the chain adj everyone loves and it was for 20yrs(patents usually only last 20yrs). 20yrs is up and yamaha jumped on it for the 700R and YFZ already. yamaha may do this for the raptor 350 after a while but any NEW bikes coming out will def have this coeccentric feature.

if you notice, i believe the 85/86 quadracers had the same adj as the honda, but when honda filed the patent- all the other OEMS had to come up with their own way of doing chain adjustment; all of them were more cumbersome than the honda's.

I think yamaha needs to keep on doing what is has started or they do best. Being different as in the raptors and being the first 450 to come out and as everyone knows and the banshee. They need to make the 250 market better because of the competition with the 250ex and z250. Also I hope they come out with a 6 thousand dollar bike to compete with the z400 and 400ex. I am sorry the raptor 350 just doesn't cut right now unless they do a lot to it.

New Orleans was a cesspool. I moved to better places I'm outside of Atlanta now, working at the airport

Looking for a place to ride too.

yeah. its a shame that it still is a cesspool this long after. everbody still pointing fingers. its pathetic and dominates the news every single night. supposedly $19Billion dollars was spent to clean things up so far but its not noticeable, and to quote a NY senator who toured it recently, "we spent billions here, where is it?" That 19Billion does NOT iclude the HUNDREDS of millions taken in by the former presidents Clinton and Bush 1, nor does it count private donations and pledges and monies received from other countries, valued in the HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars.

it is utter sickening, man. you are better off over there. Neworleans will never be the same. the 200,000 that are displaced are never going back and if it happens a gain, it will be a utter wasteland b/c the rest of the 187,000 that went back will leave for good. many busineses have relocated to the northshore and it is booming up here with traffic and people. its nuts! but hey take care dude. let me know if you find a good riding spot. i may be getting another job that the parent co is in the atlanta area...
