Yea, those inline fours would scream for a ute. You would be ripping a frame apart with that kind of motor, and it wouldnt have the power where you would want it. All mid and top, not as much low where you really need it. Not saying it has no low end, but im saying compared to say, the 660, the grizz 660 would have more low end than the 800 inline. They will get a v twin in there, dont you worry. Yamaha will be on top again, they have been focusing on sport quads for a while, building the yfz up and then the raptor 700. They will start the ute line again. Notice after the raptor 660 came out, they made the grizz 660..But they may put the 686 motor in the new ute, but we should all hope not, and hope they put a twin.

Yamaha this year is having two different realeases, and release dates for the 07's. They called it, having Stage 1 of the 2007 Yamaha line being introduced June 27th, and Stage 2 introduced Sept 27th. They also mentioned in the letter I got and I quote there will be a dynamic new model introduction, and a demo ride to introduce "the new anticipated Sales leader for ATV's in 2007."

I too would love to know this. I have also heard that quads are speed restricted to 75 mph. I am also still curious about any buzz around new models, that ute market is well overdue.

I think it's pretty safe to say that the carbed 660 griz that we have known it is not going to be in production for 2007. We just don't know if the replacement will be a 700 EFI (more than likely) or something else. I hope the Polar Bear idea goes to production, i dont care if its a 500, 700, 800, whatever, a white grizz with silver graphics and maybe put the rims on it that are on the 2006 rhino SE, that would be awesome. anyways, I think it's kinda obvious that Yamaha is trying to clear out all the 660 grizzly's and even the 450 Kodiaks, I mean in Canada we have...wait...this will take a while.
1. Grizzly 660 Silver Tip Blue
2. Grizzly 660 Silver Tip Red
3. Grizzly 660 Metallic Red
4. Grizzly 660 Camo
5. Grizzly 660 SE Black
6. Grizzly 660 Polar Edition
7. Grizzly 660 Explorer Edition
8. Grizzly 660 Blue
9. Grizzly 660 Red
10. Grizzly 660 Green
1. Kodiak 450 SE Silver
2. Kodiak 450 Polar Edition
3. Kodiak 450 Explorer Edition
4. Kodiak 450 Blue
5. Kodiak 450 Red
6. Kodiak 450 Green
It's pretty obvious there trying to clear out the remaining 660's and 450's as we know them. I mean 10 different 2006 Grizzly's it's ridiculous, and it's kinda a pain for us dealers, cuz we don't want to carry all of them cuz we'll get stuck with em when the 07's come out, but then everyone who comes in wants the edition we don't have. Hopefully some big changes await us, June 26th we'll find out.
