Default blaster rear brake help!!

alrite now i no blasters up till 2003 had those weak mech brakes.. as does mine. but mine are basically as if i have no rear brakes at all and i found that out the hard way. but how do i adjust them to where they actually grab and stop the thing now in terms of adjustment or replacing any parts, and yes i no there are hydraulic brakes but i cant afford them at this time, so any help you have is great, thanks

link doesnt work, it needs a log in, is there anything else in terms of what you would have to do to get the rear brakes to work? thanks and would hydraulic brakes from say a banshee or 400ex work on the blaster if i put on a different rotor assuming id need that?

I'd recommend registering to that site, if not just for the step by step brake maintainence, then for all the other useful information about Blasters. Including information about adapting banshee brakes to a blaster. Its free and takes only 5 minutes. Its the nets #1 site dedicated strictly to blasters.

The easiest way to put hydros from a banshee would be to swap the banshee carrier over. That would allow you to use the mounting bracket from the banshee for the caliper. You can use the Blasters rotor.

Default blaster rear brake help!!

Get a shorty brake cable for the rear from Motion Pro or Vito's. Then take the caliper apart turn the adjustor out then apply high temp silicone grease to the piston .

I am not sure what your problem is. Are you saying that you cant get the breaks to lock the back tires up? Your stock parts on the blaster should be sufficient to do that.
