move clip down on needle?
tomorro I will tear the carb back apart even though It runs great with the suggested dynojet settings, because my plug is still white....I have the fuel mixture screw out 3 turns the plug looks real white after several hundred miles...think moving the clip down will rich'n it up ... On the right track? or off in the mud on this?

You have to check your jetting in the different ranges. For example, it could be running spot on in the midrange, but at full throttle it's too lean, or at idle it's too lean, etc etc. To check the midrange just ride it with the throttle somewhere between 1/8 and 3/4 throttle for a few minutes of riding, then shut it down, let it cool a few minutes, and check the plug. Then to check your main jet setting throw the plug back in and do a full throttle run for 10-15 seconds, or if you run out of room do a couple shorter full throttle runs end to end, then pull the plug and check the color again. Let me know what you come up with and i'll try to help more.

It was set to the 4th position on the clip and the #128 Main jet with the air/fuel mixture screw out about 3 turns...this ran great, but the plug was always white...
today I moved the clip one to the 5th from bottom position and switched the main jet to #130 the air/fuel screw 3 turns out and it ran alright but nowhere in comparison to the first setup..
I am going to tear it apart again...maybe I did something wrong...if not I am back to the first setup
