Default Tie Down Points

Just wondering if anyone can advise me on where the best place is to tie down my 700 whilst in the trailer during transit. I've been told the frame is best and i've also been told its best to tie down at the front and rear which then means the suspension is under constant pressure while towing. Could this do damage to the suspension??? Any comments appreciated.....

All you do is compress the shocks a little bit while strapping it on. As for the best place to do it, the handle bars, or the frame.

I forgot to say the bumper and grab bar. Those are the best places.

Wouldn't the quad still roll forward and backward a little if you tied it down from the bumper and grab bar? Maybe it depends on the type of trailer?

This is the ultimate place ,and that is are you ready ,the TIRES I've seen straps come off of a Quad when it's just on the frame ,as you hit a big bump you didn't see and the suspension compress all the way and the hooks come off ,

I use the front bumper and the hitch on the rear to strap mine down, having at least one of the points unsprung really helps keep the machine in place. Most guys don't have a hitch on their sport quad, but the stock skid plate or a hole drilled through an aftermarket one works just as good. When I strapped mine down with the grab bar it always rolled around on me, no matter how tight i cranked it down. Since i started strapping it down on the hitch/skid plate it never moved more than an inch or two, even with the trailer bouncing all over the logging roads to get to the parking lot.

if yuo run the strap so it fit between the knobbies they don't slide off ,once over the tire you can angle them away from each other or do it so they pull towards each other . the only time i've had one come off is if the strap has broke . plus I have tons of tie down points on my trailers ,all hand built if I would make them to sell they would go like hot cakes .
