Unplug the electrical connection at the throttle and the carb top. Take a short piece(2 or 3 inches) of elec. wire and strip the ends, then bend it around in a U shape, this is a test piece, you can plug it into connections then check if the machine will run. Don't bother with the conectors leading to the throttle & carb just the connectors going to the wiring harness. Try one, then the other , then both, one of these combos will work. Then it is up to you as to how you want to perminantly rig it.The connectors that need the test piece can be cut off and the wires hooked together, or you could secure the test piece(with black tape?),but make sure it won't fall out and kill your quad during a ride.I put a twist throttle on mine(so I had to get ride of the T.O.R.S.) and once I figured out the wiring I removed all the wires right into the harness.I also replaced that ridiculous carb top with a normal one (off an early 80's suzuki dirt bike but you can also buy them new)and that made servicing the carb WAY easier. I sold the quad last spring(got a warrior) so this is all from my foggy memory... hope it helps.
