Hello, I'm new to this site and just bought a dealer left over ’05 Kodiak with a free winch. I'm sure this question has been asked before. I’m just basically wondering if anyone had any good tips on installing the winch. Also anyone have any good pics of where to mount the contactor and rocker switch, that would be great. Also is electrical contact grease needed on the connectors?

 

the rocker switch need to be near the choke...to make it easy you can take 4 screws out of the front pushbar and give yourself room to mount the winch in that area...the solenoid can be mounted under the seat....just forget that storage ever existed. Also may have to notch out a little plastic around where the seat fits to route wire under the seat without being pinched....route some to the battery following the black/red wires...
