660 Raptor vs 240 Blaster
#53
are you guys serious...i watched a highly modified blaster race stock banshees, drag and mx. The banshee guy sucked and still won, i think we kno the raptor is a better mx quad than banshee. And the stock for stock 660 vs 350 is even. Raptor wins hands down idc how bad *** that blaster is. They are light and they are fast, and they are nice. But the rappy is jus too fast and torquey.

a raptor is not a MX style quad. it is a sport/trail quad, i ride a blaster because it will take a 50ft double and land easy, also a stock blaster handles way better than a raptor. i ride a blaster because i cant afford a 250r right now, but i love two strokes, but who cares, riding is riding, its all a personal prefference

I am A Banshee rider and i am not a fan of either Raptor or Blaster.
First of all, yamaha Blasters have Approximately 21-26 horse power stock. Vitos 240 kit is designed to give the yamaha Blaster ALOT more power. So i would say that blaster is pushing around 38-42 horsepower. I, myself had a 2005 yamaha blaster w/vitos 240 kit, toomey b1 pipe silencer, ported head, vitos reed spacers 38mm Carb, K&N air filter and altered gearing for higher top speed . I have beaten a stock yfz 450. trx 450, stock 250r and A Modded Raptor 350. I know that blaster has a 300-400 yard drag race all the way. but any longer the raptor will catch up and eventaully pass it on the long run. but the blaster is ALOT lighter. So i think you would loose. i do not know by how much but there will be a distance. Hope i helped.

the 240 kits wont do much justice if you dont have a good pipe and good porting, those 2 things are the most importing thing on a drag racing 2 stroke Port and Pipe!

This is an old thread but who cares? All I got to say is that the people on the 450's that you raced must not have known what they were doing.
