Okay so there is a yz85, for sale at our track for 1500. It is an 04, with 909 bars, shorty clutch lever, maxxis cross it tires, and an fmf pipe, with titanium silencer. So I would like to race it instead of my balster since the track is a db track, and there is only like 4 ppl in are class. It suxs. So I am going to get it. But is it a good deal? And how would it compare to my blaster? And if I went to friend places that have a modded blaster, stock blaster, wolverine, warrior, and such would I smoke them? ANd my last ? is, are there any sites for them? Thanks.

The YZ will be faster than your blaster. I had a 2003 Suzuki Rm 85L race ready and i would smoke my uncles stock blaster. The blaster does have more bottom end. I would beat him by more than 10 lengths every time. I sold my RM for $1400 because i just wanted to get rid of it fast. I also outgrew it fast. I would look for a 125 if i were you because you will eventually out grow the bike. All in all thats a pretty price for the YZ

 

In a flat drag race, id put my money on the YZ against any bike you mentioned. Id say its a fair price, but compare in the classifieds.

IF you throw hills into the equation, especially sand dunes, the YZ will need one hell of a run at the hill to win, and even then will bog down.

 

Okay the other yz for sale is an 2002 stock for 2000. I think I am going with the other one. But yeah. I was looking at a kx125 for sale at the track, and its huge. I am 14, 130 pounds. But I am only like 5f.t 3. LMAO. I could not get on it with out the blocks. LOL But I think I will get the yz for a summer, then think about getting a 125. But thanks guys.

 

Does anyone know of any sites about yz's? And the uses would be track, and light and really bad trails. It would be on the track alot, and just really light trails most of the time. But if I go to a buddies place there are a few bad trails. So how would it do in that stuff. But one of my friends think it would be a waste of money (he is just getting into the sport) and he could kill me on the track because its only an 85cc. I did not even try to explain to him. But we have a bet for a $100 that I can beat his stock blaster on the track. Another friend is holding the $200. But I know I can smoke him since I have been racing and he has never seen a track. And there are some huge jumps at that track like from 40 to 80ft. long and one jump you get like 12 ft. of air. Its cool but scary. Keep in mind his is stock and the yz has an fmf pipe and titanuiim silencer, and more stuff. By the way its almost paid for and we are doing payments on it. After we pay 1250 on it we can take it home and its at 1000 right now. But thanks guys.

 

Damn, a yz 85 will keep up or leave a 400ex (or i thought) and i know a 400ex will leave a blaster.
