FTY22, I never said a 350 couldn't be built up to outrun a 400. I said given equal mods, the 400 with run off and leave a 350. This has been MY experience. So forgive me when I say you're FOS.

The 400 flat walks away from the 350 starting in 2nd gear. I've never seen one from behind. So either you aren't comparing apples to apples, or you talking out of your butt. Like I said before, I'm leaning to the latter.

 

You guys blow everything out of proportion, i knew the rappy had a rocket engine on it, thats why the record didnt stand for his 660 because it blew up on the first run to get to 150...And i wasnt talking about potential as in boring the motor, i was talking about simple mods from stock, like exhaust, filter, jet, cam...The raptor has proven itself to be faster with those mods again and again. The 660's biggest bore kit it has is offered from powroll, and its a 780? I could be wrong. You see a lot more things for a 660 in every magazine, every time. Well, you used to before the 700r came into production.

 

Stock for stock, the 400 takes the 350,pipe the 350 and it will take the 400, pipe them both and it will be a close race.

WOW i just got in from work and seen this...Ok i hope this kinda fixes some of this...This is what iv got in that old warrior..

JE 366 Big Bore Kit..
12.1 JE pistion
Stage 1 Hot Cam
Major port and Polished head
Black dimond valves and valve springs
full header and open exhaust (Kinda a Drag pipe that comes out the back)
NO Air Box With K&N
Computer Programable DYNA CDI Box
And 5 gallons of 111 race gas everytime you go ride..I cut it down to 103...

With this you can out run a 400ex and i even ran with a few 440EXs And it did run with a STOCK rappy in the 300 foot sand drags...BUT...And i did say BUT...I had a hell of a set up on that warrior...And you could lonch in 3rd out of the hole...And set up is ALOT in any kind of racing.. And thats what alot of people dont understade...

And after 2 Mojor Builds on that warrior plus all the money on set ups...Its went from Flattrack setup to 300 Foot setup A LOT of times...Iv got sooooo Much money in that old warrior that Looking back it was not worth building...I could have got what i was looking for alot cheeper out of something diffent....

Ok as for the DS vs Rappy thing... I Love them both.. Im really into big bore quads.. I Almost got a DS.. But i could not make myself Leave yamaha...I just LOVE to see the Big Bore quad eat up them LITTLE 450s.. And Banshee.. And 250r.. Ummm i quess all of them...LOL..

Well i quess thats everything....Oh but im not telling whats in my rappy beside the bore size everything besides that is TOP SECRET....

WELL THER ARE THOSE WHO ARE JUST HONDA FANS AND THERE IS NO WAY TO MAKE THEM SEE THE LIGHT. IF THEY READ THE HEADS UP COMPETITION IN ATV SPORT MAG ON THE 350 RAPTOR VS. THE 400EX IT PROBABLY WOULD NOT MATTER EITHER. I PERSONALLY DO NOT CARE FOR THE 400EX BUT I GUESS IT IS AN OK QUAD. I HAVE A FRIEND WHO BOUGHT THE NEW 450R HONDA WITH THE HOT KIT CAM, PIPE AND JETTED AND GOT SMOKED BY A STOCK YFZ 450, BUT BACK TO THE TOPIC. I HAVE 2 350 RAPTORS, A BANSHEE, AND A BLASTER. THE RAPTOR THAT I RIDE THE MOST HAS A JE 12:1 COMP PISTON, HOT CAM, BIG GUN REV BOX, ADVANCED TIMING, K&N, FMF POWER BOMB HEAD PIPE, GUTTED STOCK SILENCER AND DYNOJET KIT JUST FOR THAT SILENCER, 14 TOOTH FRONT SPROCKET AND I SMOKED A 400EX WITH A WHITE BROTHERS FULL EXHAUST, JETTED, K&N, 418 PISTON KIT AND HOT CAM. THE RAPTOR HAS A GREAT FEEL, GOOD RIDE THOUGH NOT AS SMOOTH AS MY BANSHEE OF COURSE. MY SELF I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING BUT A YAMAHA AS FAR AS QUADS GO. I HAVE HAD MANY HONDA STREET BIKES, LAWN MOWERS AND A VERY RELIABLE GENERATOR.

Man yall need to let this go....I mean there both good quads and there both BEGGINER LEVEL QUADS!!!!! My 8 year old son rides that 366 warrior....Well when some of you grow up and get a big boy quad you will understand...
