I doubt they will cover any damages...same as if a city bus hits your car.....guess it goes on your insurance but doesn't count against you....not sure about quads but they seem to get away with more than they should....

 

More than likely, you're going to have to pay the tow company for picking up the quad, mileage and storage. You may want to hold off paying the fines until you appear in court and see if they can work a deal. I don't know what tickets you received and can't think of a police dept. that has the authority to hold a vehicle (aka your quad) until you pay the fines.

 

Many years ago A very similar thing, use to happen to me all the time. The cops would come to my door , I would anser it ( hair messed up, half dressed ,just out of bed ha ha) Cop would say " Can I Look at Your Bike " I Would say any number of things , Sometimes they would just go away. One day they just would'nt leave (bike was in locked garage) and wanted to inspect it (Me Being if kind of a funk mood that day) I said fine, let me get the key to the garage. The cop gets a big smile on his face (thinking gonna bust this ba$tard after chasing him for around year after year) and procedes with the big investagation into the garage,and slowly & carefully aproaches the bike, looking for all the recent riding clues that he's learned over his many years investagating these horrific crimes, and procedes directly to the engine area putting his fully opened hand on top of the cly. head. Brunt the $$hit out of his hand, and belted out a Screem at the same time!

i live in the city and have the worst neighbors ever. they call the cops on me if i just start up my quad for a minuet. the cops are always goin through my neighborhood looking for quads. they even have gators that they drive around so they can go off roadin. all my friends around me have been caught at leats 1 by the cops. i have been lucky and have always been able to outrun them out run them. but now they know my name and house thanx to my retarted neighbors and are always comin to check on me.

I had a similar incident in a thread just last sat...titled "sombody got the cops called on them LOL" ...lucky for me the cops I have run into really have no problem with the normal quad rider around here....although maybe I will invest in a pressure washer soon... You got me looking out for when I clean my Warrior since I'm only a few blocks from you. Cop's like that suck!

While you were getting your quad impounded, a banshee passed by my house like 3 times. Those are the people they sould go after, not quads on buckets with the wheels off!!

they cant just take it for being on the street is what i dont get. you werent riding it on the street so there is nothing wrong. thats like saying having a self powered lawnmower on the street can be taken. i dont get this. something is missing here
