Drag racing, whats the big deal
not trying to convert you, just trying to get the cry babies to shut up and just race. If you lose so what, just spend more money and you can be faster. It's that simple, so quit all the crying and just race. Run what ya brun and hope you brung enough, thats the saying. Not run what ya brung and bitch about it and cry like a baby and slander all the builders start puttin people down cause you didnt bring enough to make yourself feel better about getting beat, then go on the internet and bitch and moan to try and make everyone agree your right.
Dont matter what where or how you ride, just be a man about it while your doing it and have some sportsmanship!!

the way i see it u run cross country, moto what ever with lots of jumps and when u get enough crashes under your belt and rebuilt body parts, you move down to draging. no jumping no hour long races but u still get the thrill of the race. crashing hurts worse as years pass, man i hate crashing

It takes ALMOST no skill to do and can be learned very quickly, and if you got a lot of money you can be the fastest around. So what if you have a bunch of money, that dont say **** about your skill as a rider.
what does drag racing prove if you do all your own work?
1) do you really know how to put your bike together?
2) do you know how to tune you bike right?
3) do you know how to match up performance mods to work together?
thats about it, all of which can be learned with enough pratice. So it still doesnt mean much other than you have more time into it than someone else. Anyone can get good at doing all that is required to drag race given enough time and money.
I just find it funny how much trash talking and feelings get hurt over drag racing when it dont mean ****!! And for those who will say sounds like someones been getting spanked, your wrong, but who cares anyway if I was, I dont. If you want to drag race me thats fine I will take on anybody, but my "drag race" track is 75 miles long and takes about an hour and half to get to the other end so be ready to ride a little more than 5 sec!!!!

Drag racing, whats the big deal
My first post does start out harsh, but at the end was the point
"I just find it funny how much trash talking and feelings get hurt over drag racing when it dont mean ****!! "
refering to thats not what drag racing is about. And I don know what drag racing is about, I spent several years just up the road from you at Haulsville race way. I dont have the money it takes to drag race successfully, all I have is skill and ability so I have to desert race.
The serious drag racers arent really the main complainers, and they have the skill. It's the weekend warriors that know it all and have never paid a cent to a sanctioning body and race in field downthe road that talk all the trash, and no it does not take much skill at all to line up with your buddies and count to 3 and pin the throttle. Thats who I am refering to. So thats my fault for not being very clear on that point.

because 99% of the crying on this board deals with drag racing. And I still say for me drag racing is a waste of time, but if someone else wants to do it go ahead and I hope your successfull.
And no drag racing does not take near the ability and skill level required to MX, CC, or Desert Race, and if you think it does your kidding yourself. It does require a good set of reflexes and a little cordination and balance to drag race but thats about it. All the building and wrenching is a seperate issue all together so dont try to combine the two.
