I just got done re welding studs in my head for exhaust now when I run it wide open for a short period of time it kinda backfires. It actually just makes a little poof noise. It never did this before I fixed my exhaust the last time. I do have a liitle exhaust leak but far less than when I bought it and it only had one bolt holding the header on. My plug looks like I'm running a little rich, could this be the problem and do I need to rejet or adjust. power seems to be just fine, a little hesitation every once in a while. Thanks for any help.

looks like you have yourself a headache.
I would put that thing on the street and try to move up to this century.

i would like to move up, but I am the kinda guy who just can't leave well enough alone. I would just find something wrong with whatever I buy. For the time being I'll just tinker with what I got.

speedy2222 since your not responding to buying it, can you please tell me how to fix it? I have a little exhaust leak between my header and my stock pipe. Am I getting some sort of messed up back pressure? I should know more after tomorrow. I plan on riding it pretty hard, it has been running fine other than the little poof noise every once in awhile.

It has a clamp but it would not tighten so I tack welded it to keep pressure off my exhaust bolts. It probably doesn't sound that bad it just seems loud to m, but I have never been around warriors. If i can get rid of the poof noise I be happy for the time being.
