Try JB weld.
It can't hurt.
Rough up the plastic first.
I've had good luck with a plastic welder from harbor freight to repair broken plastic.
Is this on the 5-gallon tank? Did it melt or crack?

I'd rather just spend $25 for a good used tank on ebay instead of messing around with all the different products out on the market. I don't know anybody that used that stuff and actually had it work permenantly, I know a couple guys that tried sealing a cracked tank, but couldn't find a way durable enough that it would be safe on the trail. Usually when a tank cracks it's at a stress point, so it's likely to break again. Think about how much a tank can get beat around on a quad, like how much weight can get put on it when you sit forward on the seat, bouncing around on rocks, and things like that, and consider how bad it could be if that crack opened back up again while you were riding. Best case scenario you're left stranded with no gas. Worst case the whole thing bursts into flames as the gas pours over the hot engine, possibly even down your leg setting you on fire too, then you're really screwed, because chances are you're going to be a long way from help. To me it's a no-brainer.
