does anybody when dealers are getting the new 700 grizzly?

 

My local yamaha dealer in Norway Maine claims they will have a couple in this coming week.

 

My dealer in lewiston, Maine has 1 only diff from my o6 is the gas tank decal says 660 again, still no sign of a 700 though.

 

My dealer in Northern Calif has one scheduled to arrive sometime in July (this would be my green Griz) then he has two coming in Aug.

 

Since yammi is in calif....everybody else will be like a week later i guess [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

Actually the Yamaha factory where these are built is in Georgia so I doubt that Calif will see them any sooner than other locations.

 

lots of the dealers in canada have them already.

 

I've called at least 10 dealers in the VA, PA, MD and WV areas. The best all of them can do is say that they may seem new Grizz 700 machines in late July or early August.

Dealers can tell you they have orders in, but can give no promise/arrival dates. Very poor intro process from Yamaha...I actually called them directly to see when local dealers will get the machines. They had no good answers!!

I work in the Ag and Construction Equipment biz and OEMs/Dealers can tell you when the machine was made, when it was ordered, when it will ship, and when it will arrive at the dealer location. Now Ag and Construction machines orders have some serious $$$ tied to them.....Yamaha obviously can't justify spending the money to put similar systems in place.

Anyway, I'll just wait for the machine, but if anyone knows of a dealer in VA, PA, MD or WV that can tell you when they're ready to take orders and when the machines will be in dealers (versus just guessing) please respond.

 

Nothing new with the 700 Griz situation. Most dealers will gladly take your deposit. If you want one badly enough just lay down some green and get in line but just don't expect to have any bargaining chips. The dealer has the cards. I believe Yamaha has done a very good job of introducing this new model. They have managed to get everyone in the industry chomping at the bit.
