Default Broke the 700r today

So i went to an MX race today. There were a lot more atvs then usual. There must me 45 atvs lining up for practice. I go to all the races and i seen a lot of new faces. So they let groups of ten go every 5 seconds. I was in the last group and I was out in front. There was a table top and a long steep hill then it went down hill turning right into a decent sized double. Mind you it was the first lap of practice so i was not pushing my self i jumped the double at a nice speed to clear it without the danger of crashing. Out of nowhere some kid on a LT400 lands on my grab bar and back plastic. He he ripped it right off. piece of the aluminum sun fram broke off the plastic was mangled and my one weel old CT exhausts end cap is all dented and scratched. The sub frame is broken off cleanly so im going to try to weld it back together. Would anyone not suggest me doing this? It doent look like that area has much pressure on it. And BTW everyone said that kid was out of control and didnt know what he was doing. I think all that happened to his quad was a dented bumper. Here are a few pics

Yeah, that definately sucks. I hope that kid pays, but that doesn't usually happen in these situations. One reason I don't really care to get into racing.

I would suggest buying a new subframe. It is cast alluminum. I would not weld it.

Ive replaced my subframe already. $346 for the part, less than an hour of my time to install.

I didnt see him again. He stopped right after he hit me and we looked at each other for a second then he kept on racing. I didnt know what happened till i pulled over. I did see he had a dented bumper. I think he was fine. My back it a little sore i think he nicked my back. I dont remember, it happened so fast.

That must suck to get a brand new quad and have the rear destroyed. How much will it be to
fix that? And I bet that kid on the suzuki couldnt handle that quad.

Yeah and when you find him, break the back of his quad. Then when he stops to look at his quad throw some dirt at him.lol
