Default Should I get a blaster?

I currently have 85 250r ATC and that is a little radical for me now that I am older. I want a nice quad that handles well, but don't need a ton of power like the 250r and is good for trail riding unlike the 250r.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Im not one for telling someone what they need...But the blaster is a very good little quad...key word being little...small in size...Im guessing your older...Like me..LOL... If your wanting just a good cheap trail quad.. soming kinda like a blaster just a little bigger in size.. i would go with the warrior...Not a alot of power just a good old tuff ATV.. Like the blaster but just bigger in size...But you may not be a fat butt like i am and a blaster mite fit your size lol..Im just trying to help out a little...

I agree. I guess this is personal opinion, but I feel that the warrior is a better trail machine than the blaster because the 4 stroke will pull like a tractor in the low rpms, and still has good enough mid and top power, where the blaster really doesn't start coming into the power until the rpms get up a little. The blaster will still go through anything, it will just take more working with the clutch and throttle when you get into the more slow and technical sections. The blaster is smaller than most adults are comfortable with, and any of them made before 2003 have a poor brake setup. When they are all properly adjusted they will work fine for trail riding, but the trick is keeping them all adjusted and in working order.

Another thing to keep in mind, although you're already used to your 250r, is that a warrior also has an electric starter and reverse which is nice to have.

I think the 250r is a better trail quad than a blaster, for older riders. The ride on a 250r is smoother, where as the ride on the blaster is bone jarring for us old guys. But a blaster can be built very easily and cheaply to be a decent trail machine. My blaster has more low end torque and mid range than a stock warrior. There some cheap suspension mods that can be done to blaster to make it ride better. Check out my website to see my blaster and there is a bunch of links to Blaster specific websites.

a.k.a 3-wheeler!

If your over say 5'10" 150lbs I wouldnt reccomend a blaster unless you wanna feel like your riding in a shopping cart.
