It is a little black box attatched to the frame under the front left shock. It has a **** on it that says "minimum" and "maximum". It also has a little red light on it.

LOL sounds like you got a AMP and SUBS on your quad...LOL j/k what kinda quad is it??

Not going through the major pain to see the pic. But, I just looked at a used z400 that had something very similar to what you are describing. It was for auxillary lighting. He had hooked up flashing strobe lights on the taillight and headlight. At first, I thought it was an alarm too, but when I asked, he told me it was just lights (that didn't work anymore).

 

I can't seem to figure out how to post a direct link. Copy and paste works ok.
Oh and it's on a Raptor 660.

Here is what I'm guessing it is (or very similar). Not a good pic, but look at the black box thing and see if it matches or is close.

 

The box looks familiar. I appear to have no strobes, however.
