Warrior Problems... Need some help!!!!
#1
Well I have a 2000 Warrior that I purchased with no spark. Before it quit it ran great. Well check into it and the stator source coil and the CDI box were bad. I replace those and had great spark. The quad still wouldn't start and was backfiring out the carb. Checked the timing and set the valve clearences. I ended up calling the place where I got the stator and they had me switch the red and white wires coming off the stator. The thing fired right up. Now when I give it gas it stalls out and backfires out the exhaust. To me it almost sounds like the rev limiter is kicking in. I have tried new gas, rebuilt the carb, and new plugs. Anyone have any Ideas of similar experiances?????

Had the same issue when I brought my warrior home and asked the same question on this forum. If you search it will probably come up. Anyway the parking brake mechanism has a built in rev limiter, so when that button is locked down where you pull in the clutch it will die and back fire when revved. It will continue sometimes even when the button is back up. There are 2 cables going to the clutch, unhook the top one and see if the issue goes away. It's apparently a well known issue with warriors.
