20 Hour Break-In

bartolo,
I use the twist grip in the woods, it saves my thumb alot of stress when I'm putting in long days. If I'm headed to the terrian park I prefer the thumb throttle, it makes putting body engish on a little easier. My twist grip is a 1/4 turn, it comes on awful quick, which is fun but twitchy when leaning and pushing. Sorry if I sounded brash in the valve adjustment topic, I was actually jesting. Have fun, good luck.

I broke mine in by starting it up and letting it cool down several times. each time i put in back in the garage and let it cool totally. The first ride i didn't go past half throttle. After second tank of gas..i rode it. Not underrevving it and not overrevving it..just nice easy shifting....i rode like this till the forth tank of gas..after that i got on it a bit ...but by the 6th tank i was full throttle beating banshee's. I had it serviced and the valves adjusted. The mechanic said that one of the valves was tight but that it was normal to see that. they were adjusted. I had the oil and oil filter changed. I cleaned the air filter evry ride. I also put a white bros_pipe on the back..which increased my mid range and throttle response. Now i have to rejet cause my plug is white. I am very happy with the performance of this bike.

joeyd,
Did your White Brothers exhaust make a 'really noticable' difference, or just a difference? I was told if you put 2 disk on the exhaust you have, you will not have to rejet. I'm thinking about getting the GYT-R exhaust when it's available. Anybody have any opinions on that exhaust?

bartolo,
The GYT-R exhaust is available. I,ve had mine for a while. I love it, looks, sound, performance, weight(lightest available) and spark arrested. The dealer here sold all of the ones the got on there first and second shipment but they told me that they would have more in about two weeks.
