Default Stutter and stalling problem

Well i just got my new yzf 450 today!! was running great at first and no problems what so ever. Then later on i noticed i was getting back fires and it would stall.. i would have to let it sit for a little while then it would start up again.. but after awhile it would stutter and stall... I found that the hose on the gas cap was twisted and kinked.. soon as i un kinked it the problem never happend again..

My only worry is would this cause the motor to run lean, since the kinked hose was creating a vacume? this motor has only been ran for about 5 hours... And would like to know if this could cause engine damage. thanks for any replys!

First of all, welcome to the forums.
I wouldn't be too woried about it, I doubt that it hurt anything, unless you were riding it really hard, but most engines do not need to be broken in longer than maybe 3 hours with all the new technology, so I doubt that it hurt anything even if you were. Welcome to the forums.

I wouldnt be worried about it either. It prolly was pinched off enough to were it would just kill the motor, not run it lean. Congrats on the quad and once again welcome to the forums.
