Default 05 Grizzly problem, help

my father has a 05 grizzly camo edition. well, as of this week the throttle has started hanging open. We took the gas tank off and looked at the cable and it looked fine. after we took the tank off the throttle loosten back up and worked fine. Two days ago, dad took it out again, and it hung wide open again.. I fooled with the cable and finally got it unhung, but it looks like the trouble is in the box beside the pipe. Im thinking maybe the heat is gettin to it or something. does anyone know a solution to the problem???? Is the tank pushin up and kinking the cable? could this happen

A little bit of dust, mud and / or water built up over time to the point where the throttle would stick. In my case it was fixed under warranty back in late '01. It wasn't the cable that was sticking, it was the linkage that the cable connects to...
