I guess its just plain customary to keep prospective buyers in the dark, like mushrooms. I see the new
700's Griz's are released in Canada, and on their way to the dealers for pickup. I checked here in the states and see
that the machines are still at the warehouses. My dealer claims that there is a difference in how the machines
are built for Canada, than the USA. Mention was made to the emissions, etc. Seems to me they would be about
the same. What else might be different that the machines are held up here from distribution. This starting to
get real annoying. Sparky I am glad for you, and choose one just like yours. Oh I am putting the Titan 589's on it
and think they will be good.

biggest difference I can think of is the cost. We pay a heck of a lot more for our 4 wheelers up here. More than what's justified by the current mild exchange rate ..
My 500EFI LE for instance was 10,200 up here .. what are they down there? 7k maybe??
As for why they're being released here and not in the US?? No idea. Only other thing that comes to mind is the dash setup .. it's set for km here in Canada vs. miles in the US. But I figure the dealers would do that on setup wouldn't they?
I have heard however, that there's a pre-release recall on the shift mechanisms. With the US being a very litigious country, perhaps the distributors are playing it safe rather than be sued ??

You sure are right about one thing, and that is alot people in the USA are sue Crazy. It is always
someone elses fault, if they make a bad mistake. And, as for the cost difference, that just doesn't make
since. Cripes the exchange rate between Canada and the US is really close right now, and atvs should
not have that big a jump becuase of a border. The new Griz 700 fi, with a normal color is around 7500
dollars, and shouldn't be more that 8500 in Canada at the most. There is a fly in the ointment somewhere.
