660 or banshee?

I just bought an '06 Shee and all I do is woods and trail ride. I don't have any problems lopping around. I threw a Gnarly pipe on it for low-end power. Also, when you get tired of the power, it upgrades easily with tons of parts available.

It depends on how fast you want to ride those trails. If you want to ride at a moderate pace get the Raptor, but if you like to really hang the rear end out there in the turns, and you like high RPM hard hitting power, get the Banshee, because it corners much flatter than the tippy Raptor 660. Or if you just want your quad to sound like a 600R supersport bike, get the Banshee.
We have a Banshee, and have had a 660 Raptor, and the Banshee is more fun to ride. Jetting the dual carb Banshee can be a pain, but the dual carb 660 Raptor is even harder to work on. Maybe that fuel injected Raptor 700 isn't such a bad idea after all.

My youngest son wants to inherit our Banshee in a year or two. He thinks he's Mr two stroke pro because he rides a KTM 65 SX now, and that has an even more light switch type powerband than the Banshee. The KTM makes no power at all below about 8K RPM, then bogs for another 1K RPM, then launches like a rocketship. I have a hard time riding the KTM, because it always wheelies when it hits the powerband, even in fourth gear with a 200 pounder riding it. My son rides it great though, so I finally let him talk me into taking the Banshee for a short cruise in the street right in front of our house yesterday. I'm expecting him to just putt around in first gear, so I was a bit upset when he pinned it, and I watched him shift through first, second, third, and into fourth gear before he got to the turn at the end of the block . He is only 10 years old, so I don't think Mr No Fear 10 year old is getting back on the Banshee again any time soon.
Just bringing this up because a Banshee isn't that hard to ride. A ten year old can ride one .
