Gang,
I'm sure(thought) I saw someone out there that has already installed a motion pro twist throttle on their Raptor. Could you tell me where you got it? I can't seem to locate one.

Try this forum. I believe JOEYRR has or had one for sell. He had it on for a little bit and didn't like it. looks like he sold it. Go ahead over and ask him. http://www.delphi.com/raptor660/start

I would also be interested in trying one. Had a bit of excitement yesterday when I had to reach for the front brake in a hurry, which is a long reach for my short fingers, and took the throttle with my thumb while I was reaching for the brake.

I have a Motion Pro (vortex) twist throttle on my raptor, I had to order it direct from motion pro. The vortex is a half throttle you only have to turn the throttle half as far as a normal throttle. The half throttle I found for me works better on quads and full throttle on bikes it is kind of different at first you only have to twist it a little before your wide open but its good once you get use to it. So I'd call MP direct and I think they have a web sight so surf around and you'll find there sight and telephone # if not let me know and I'll get it for you!

xtreme,
Could you give me the phone# when you get a chance? I looked around for the web site, but was unable to find one. In the mean time, I'll go through some old quad rags and see if I can find it. Thanx!

RaptorWarr

Here's the site. motionpro.com I just opened it to make sure it was still up. The CR type is their other model for the Raptor. The Vortex is the MX style as the other post described. The CR, if I recall is a slower enduro type, probably more suitable for xc, trail, etc. I'll send you a copy of an e-mail from the tech at Motion Pro describing the two.

Hot_Shoe_cv,
Thanx abunch for the info, I realy feel stupid not trying that address first.
xtreme165,
How did you order direct from motion pro? Did they take your order right over the phone? They don't have a way to order over the web. Do you feel you have enough throttle control with the vortex? They have a 'CR Comp'(I think that's the one hot_shoe_cv is talking about) that's slower, but I don't want to have to take another grip to peg the throttle. Any thoughts?

I called motion pro and ordered it direct over the phone because Tucker Rocky and Parts Unlimited didnt have any on stock at the time. I ordered it direct and it only took around 4 days. MP makes a 1/4, 1/2 and a full throttle I went with the 1/4 throttle and it works good1
