Default Grizzly runs hot

I’m wondering if anyone out there can give me hand with a reoccurring problem I’ve been having with my 2006 grizzly. It seems my grizzly likes to run hot. At first I thought I had a bad thermostat .Once I replaced the old one and repaired the pin hole leak in one of my hoses it seemed to have fixed the problem. I rode it a few times and everything seemed to be o.k. Then I sent it to the shop to have a HMF muffler system ,a k&n air filter and re jetted . After a few hours of riding it, it started running hot again. After I limped it home and washing it up and made sure the radiator was good and clean. I cranked it up and after about 45 minutes of idling it started running hot again All my fluids are toped off and there appears to be no leaks. Also I’m using Castrols R4 motor oil. It would be great if some of you guys could give me an idea on what to look for are maybe what could be causing my problem.

i would recomend that you hardwire the fan to a switch so that it can run constantly to help keep the temp down. You may also want to try a product called Engine Ice. It helps keep the engine run cooler. Depending on how many miles and hours you have run you may also think about changing you coolant all together.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Maybe your dealer/mechanic may not have jetted it and just said they did so now your running lean and that equals more heat. Just a guess, but it would'nt be the first time a dealer lied.

Did you verify that the fan is running? Maybe either the fan, or the temp switch that activates it are unplugged or the plugs are wet or corroded?
