oil ratio for a banshee???
I'm curently using Castol 927 premix oil at 40:1, how high can I go before I need to worry about any damage on the engine? Is this true, the higher you go on your ratio the faster your top end will go out? I usually ride the dune and do some dragging, what ratio should I use to get max horse power with out doing any damage?
Thanks

I run 40:1 as well as most of the people i know. Some guys on banshee HQ run the 100:1 amsoil at 80:1 but i would not reccomend it. You could get away with 50:1 with castrol but it will wear your engine a little more. Yes is does VERY SLIGHTLY increase your top end, im talking like .5mph. Remember changing your mix ratio means changing your jetting. Stick with 40:1 and get some upgrades. Welcome to the forums.

I use Yamalube at 32:1 its safe I never have to worry if Im getting proper lubrication. There are better oils out there tested at 100:1 and alot of people run that at 80:1 but I would never do that unless I had a bike strictly for drag racing and I planed on changing the rings every few months.
