Default Help With An 02 Blaster

Hey i have a 02 blaster. And the piston went out so we got a new one, got it broke in and went and did some mild climbing then blew another piston . Got another one and have it it and its ideling like crap, and takes a while to start. There is some oil in the gas to help break in the new piston but even with a new plug its taking a while to start. And once it does it wont idle on its own and when its first started and just going up and down the road its fine, but as soon as it warms up it will bog down and all of a sudden stop and get a little power burst. Can anyone help me out? Sorry about the bad description of the problem, ask me if you need some more or extra info.

At sea level there was a 230 in the carbaurator. (I just forgot what it is called)

Man this could be alot of probs..First i have a few questions...When you put the new pistions in...are you having the jug howned out..or bored?? If not they that could be your prob..If you putting a new pistion in a jug that has not been bored..the walls of the jug could have cracks or scares....your jetting dont sound to bad...Take your carb off and look at the rubber boot and see if it has a crack in it...if it does that will make you too lean and your getting to much air in cousing the pistion to burn a hole in its self...Same goes on your exhaust...if it has a leak by the head it can suck cold air in cousing you to burn a hole too..

The first time the cylinder was honed out, then the second time some acid was applied to it. There is plenty of compression though. There is not a crack in the rubber foot.

Hmmm..well hows your head look..have you done anything to it..When you rebuild one..its a good ideal to go ahead and shave the head a little to get a good seal when you put it back on...We had this kinda prob with a 250r..we had a new sleeve put in..they did not get it in strait..couseing lots of probs..if you have your head off..run your fingers across the top of the sleeve and your jug to see if its off a little...

Sorry about the double post but im brain storming with my stepdad and there is no gasket where the exhaust meets the head. And there never was from the factory but that does sound like it could be causing the problem. We were going to drain all the gas/oil out of the tank and put in super and put the 230 jet back in.

Ok if you got this..try running castol927 with a 32.1 mix...And a other thing you need to look at..is how well the pistion and the rod are together...Pull on the pistion and see if there is any slack in the rod...if there is your rod could be hittin the head..just a little were you cant hear it..

The piston is tight, and the oil auto-injects. Im thinking its the exhaust head... But there was never a gasket on there. Would it be a good idea to try and get one, there was never one stock on there though.
