Default Wolvie VS Grizzly 450 VS Grizzly 660

I am thinking about selling my 350 Wolvie and buying the 660 Grizzly. I rode on one and loved the power and comfort, but it isnt as sporty as the Wolvy and doesnt look as easy to work on. I also saw the 450 Grizzly and it had all the same features of the 660, but smaller motor and the 660 was about $700 more.

What are peoples comments on the 3?

I have 2 grizzly 660 and love both of them and I just got a 450 Wolverine 2006. It is a easy bike to handle over the 660 but lacks the power to go up and over the big rocks. I changed the tires on the Wolverine and put hole shot tires and ITP rims on it and it helped a little. The grizzly is a super soft ride and if you spend a lot of time on the bike I would go with the grizzly but if don't and a harder ride is ok for you then the Wolverine is the way to go.

Yeah. I just like the power more than anything. I like the Wolverine because of the sport feel from it. Especially with the Warn 424 Select on it. When we went to Hot Springs in Arkansas, my Wolverine went where the 660 Grizzly went and the 650 Honda Rincon. It should go even better now that I service it and found the plug was gapped about 3 times what it should have been. I adjusted the carb with a bigger main jet, and adjusted the valves. Seems to have more power now. I think I will continue to ride my Wolvie around for now and save my money. I have a total of $2,500 in the Wolverine which includes the new 424 select. The new Grizzly is $7,000.

i have had both 03' 450 grizz(kodiak) and the 07' grizz 660 and i think the ride is very similiar . i dont think you will be disappointed with the 450. other then alittle more top end on the 660. the motor in the 450 wolv., i believe is the same in the 450 grizz. don't quote me on that. maybe some one else knows for sure. good luck.

I say ride the Wolvie for a little longer. These things seem to hold their value pretty well based on what I see them going for. I'm sure in another year, you could probably sell your Wolvie for what you have inro it...or at the very least, at a slight loss.

In that time, see if you can get seat time on machines when you go on a ride. It's always best to test things out before laying out the cash.

I ride with a lot of guys who have big more machines. I can't go through the big mud holes or win any drag races. But most of the riding we do is on rocky, semi technical trails, so keeping up is never an issue. I have quite a bit of fun on my machine and like the mix of sport and 4x4.

You want sporty and 4x4? Get yourself a another Wolverine because there about as sporty as a 4x4 can get. Yamaha should make a 450 Wolverine.

They do, and they are real nice and already have the 2WD/4WD selection. I hear that they are heavy though and people are looking for the 350's.

They are heavy I own one and they also ride harder then the grizzly 660. The 450 is a sweet machine but it lacks some of the power because of the weight and smaller motor. I have also road the 700 and was not all that impressed with some of the new upgrades like the power steering what a joke anyway good luck both are great bikes.
