Default 600 GRIZZLY LONG LASTING?

As in my last measage the motor started using oil. When you peg the throttle two or three times the motor would puff blue smoke. Since then the lifters are getting a bit loud. I traded the machine in on a 07 Grizzly. They are water cooled and the dealer's all knew about the problems with the air cooled models. After three attemts to get the best deal for trade in I ended up taking a beating on the machine. But I know it will be very pricey to fix the motor. All I have to say is be very careful when buying a used 600 Grizzly. Check the compression and look for oil usage on startup and get the motor warmed up and peg the throttle for oil usage. This is what all the dealers did on my machine.

I do have to say the new 700 Grizzly is unreal. The power steering is something that I will never be without. The new 700 motor has all the power that I will ever need. It has four disc brakes which I believe will be better on high speed braking if needed and longevity on the brakes. In all I think I made the right move even though I took one hell of a loss.
