Default Fly wheel puller

Hey all, i just received my stator plate for my banshee and i was wondering if the puller i need to take off the flywheel is a clamp type puller or a threaded puller, because my friend has a tool he uses for his snowmobile and i wanted to know if i could use that because i haven't got the tool and i really wanted to change the stator tommorow since it's going to rain and be nasty out. Thanks!

idk what u are talking about... but once you get the nut off.. use the kind that have "arms" to grab behind the pulley and screw it inward to pull it off.. sorry i'm not good with names...

IVE PULLED ONE off with a harmonic balancer puller you can rent them at auto zone and it will work safely.

Never EVER use a puller with arms on a flywheel like that. They sell pullers made just for removing that style flywheel. If you look close the inside of the flywheel is threaded just for it. An adapter threads into the flywheel around the crank that then allows you to use a puller like used on a snowmobile clutch, only smaller. They sell for around 12-20 bucks on ebay.
