What do you think between the 800 Renagade and the 700 raptor???

I don't ride sports bikes and I know the 800 renagade is not out yet, but what is your opinion when comparing the following of both bikes?
1. HP = 800 renagade hands down @ 62hp
2. TOP SPEED = ???????
3. MID SPEED = ???????
4. TAKE OFF SPEED = ???????
5. FAST SPEED HANDLING = ????????
6. SLOW SPEED HANDLING = ????????
This is not to start a fight and say one is better than the other. I have ridden a 660 raptor for about 10 minutes and it was scarry fast, but was just wondering what y'all think about the raptor compaired to the 800 renagade.

It is kinda of a weird comparsion since the Raptor is a sport and the Renegade is Sport/Utility. The Renegades demo's just arrived at selected dealers
As for the Raptor goes... the throttle is 1 of the snappiest. Very good from top - bottom end.
We'll have to wait for the Renegade to come out to c a full comparsion

You either want a sport quad...or a 4by4 its that simple. Do you want to do stunts? wheelies? jumps? have fun in dunes? get the rappy. If you want a go fast 4by4 that can do everything fairly well well then the renegade would seem to fall in there.

In my books the renegade doesn't even come close to qualifying as a sport quad. Nothing with a 4x4, automatic, and over 650lbs should even get the sport/ute label if you ask me. The renegade is simply the outlander 800, with different shocks and bodywork. The outlander can't touch the raptor 700 in any category except those more suited to 4x4s, like traction, riding in really rough technical trails, and pulling heavy loads (like when your buddy's polaris breaks down and you gotta drag the pos back to the truck haha). The renegade is still going to handle and perform like a 650 lb machine.
I don't want it to look like i'm bashing the can-am, but you're asking to compare machines in 2 completely different categories. It's like comparing a mazda miata to a jeep.
As was already said, if you want a real sport quad, go for the raptor 700, they're amazing, and nicely refined machines. If you're looking for a more do-all machine, and need the 4x4, maybe the outlander is something to consider.
Bud damn, where does can-am come up with these prices?!? Is it just me, or is their pricing ridiculous?

I agree, the focus of these 2 machines is still different enough that most people will gravitate towards one or the other based on how and where they like to ride. As fast as the Renegade will be, it will never handle as well as or be able to hold up to jumping, wheelies, and that sort of thing like a Raptor will. On the flip side there are plenty of things a Renegade can do better than any traditional sport quad. I don't see the renegade as being a true crossover, yet.

Overall the Raptor is going to be much more sporty. Handling at any speed isnt' even going to be in the same league!

I sold my raptor to get a Prairie 700 thinking I would be happy with it. Guess what its a great machine but it will never be a raptor. Just something about hitting the throttle in 3rd and riding a long wheelie. I now own my third raptor 660. A 4x4 is a 4x4 is a 4x4 no matter how big a motor they put in them. JMHO

I dont think any of the speed ones will be close, I think the Raptor will hand it to the renegade. The difference in a 660 raptor and the 700 is night and day, i dont think the renegade will be much of a contest unless there is mud, or something the raptor just wont go it.
