I have a Warior that I bought used and have since replaced the CDI, Stator, Cluthch and rebuilt the engine with new rod, crank, pistons rings, and valves. The quad has a Suppertrapp Pipe, K&N filter and uni filters in the airbox. It runs great and has tons of power and torque, however, has a miss in the upper RPM's. Do these have a rev limiter that comes in really early. It has a 13 front sproket with 22" tires and has run close to 60 next to a buddy, but misfiring from about 48mph and up.

Warriors actually don't have any rev limiter at all from the factory. The closest thing to a rev limiter is floating the valves haha.

When was the last time the valves were adjusted? Did you ever take a look at the spark plug after doing one of those high rpm runs, to see if maybe the jetting is off?

I thought the CDI had a rev limiter. the valves are adjusted per spec. I did rebuild the carb with the old motor and it had larger jet in it already. It seems as though this problem occured after rebuilding the carb, which was coincidental to finding the old motor low on compression just plain loose and tired.

like I said in my first post, did you ever check the spark plug after one of the runs when it's acting up, to see what the jetting is at? It could be too lean, too rich, or have something clogging up the main jet.
