yamaha warrior need help my head pipe is glowing red
I saw mine do the same thing already. Long idling, I think does it. I was playing with mine troubleshooting some stuff, and in the process I had it idling for long periods and the pipe got read hot like that. I think it can also be too much air. Running without an air filter or something. I don't think it does during normal use. But then again, I just bought it used and don't get a chance to mess around with it much.
Don't buy a warrior cd service manual off e-bay. It is only a pdf file on a cd that you can download for free from Sandwizards.com. Which I think is not accurate anyway. There are too many contradictions and poor quality pictures. The illustrated drawings look good, but the pictures are bad and you can't make everything out.

now that i think about it, i am not 100% sure if the warrior has a fuel screw or an air screw. 4 stroke CAN have either one. it will be a fuel screw if it is in the very bottom of the carb (it will face vertical). if it is an air screw it will be on the side of the carb (facing horizontal). however, to make an air screw more rich (more fuel) you turn it in. to make a fuel screw more rich you turn it out. so they have opposite effects. to make them leaner (less fuel) you turn them in the opposite directions.
