Default Grizzly headlights and Plug Cap

One of the bulbs on my 03 Grizz has fallen loose into the lens area, it came apart at the solder ring. I had just trailered it home over 600 miles of rough road while moose hunting, so I thought that was the cause. I frequently run with both high and low beams on, and I see several posts relating to possible bulbs overheating due to running both on at same time. I was wondering how many people use hi and lo at the same time?
BTW I got it out by tipping the machine up on the back rack using the winch to lift the front, the local Yamaha dealer said that is how they tend to get them out.
Also I have had the plug cap come loose while riding, I now keep checking to ensure it is tight anyone else have this happen regularly?

I hear that is not a good thing to do Hi and low at the same time can also overheat the wiring going to the light.Sometimes it happens by accident , but I try to make sure only one is on at a time.

Yea that's all it is. The bulb gets so hot it melts the soldier melts and the bulb falls out. That only happens when you have the high and low beams on at the same time.

As far as the plug cap coming loose, that happens alot. The way Yamaha made their plug caps stick on the plug is with little metal 1/2 moon clips and they will wear out and cause the cap to come loose often. Mine has come loose in the middle of mud holes numerous times but if you use some silicone on the plug boot dust cap, the silicone will hold the cap from coming loose.
