Easiest way to check your cable adjustment is to put the quad in gear and jack the front wheels off the ground. With the selector **** in 2wd, the front wheels should turn freely and silently. Obviously I'm talking about doing this by hand and not with the engine running. Any noise coming from the 424 while doing this means the collar/sleeve inside the 424 is not fully disengaging and you need to adjust the cable. Then put the selector **** in 4wd, with the quad in gear and the rear wheels on the ground, you shouldn't be able to turn the front wheels independently of the rear. I did this to verify my cable adjustment when I installed my 424.
