Should be an easy one! I just got rid of the injection system, removed the gear, pump, oil tank and all that jazz. But there's one little hose coming out of the carb that used to go to the pump. Does that get snipped and plugged? Or does it do something important?
Thanks for any info!!

Well, I guess the lesson for the day is "think before asking"....Now that I think of the mechanics of the whole injection operation. I was soon to realize that the hose I was refering to takes the oil from the pump to the carb for mixing. So the hose can be used for sipping Margarittas for all the good it does now. Ahh yes, Yamalube with a twist of lime!...Anyway I think I'm O.K. now and I'll quit wasteing space....Sorry

I talked to the mechanic at the yamaha dealer about testing my injector system. He said that if that hose isn't plugged. It will cause a lean conditon and blow the motor up.

plug that sucker up, if its not sucking oil through it (obviously) then its sucking air and dirt!

Hello, My brother got a blaster recently that someone took the oil injestion off, I want to be POSITIVE that the hoses are plugged, can anyone tell me which ones they are? I noticed a open nip on the top of the case of the motor, and one on the back half of the carb on the left side, and one on the front half of the carb that has a hose on it that goes up to the front of the wheeler under the headlight, which of these should be blocked, which shouldnt? I would really appreciate the help!
