OK, I just purchased (last week) a 2006 Raptor 700 on eBay.... Yeah I know all the scams and I made sure it was real first. I do a LOT of eBay stuff. I have a friend who bought his truck and Viper on eBay also. LOL. They are awesome.

I live on the West Coast near Seattle. It was on the East Coast in S Hampton NY. I had it delivered to a Yamaha dealer there and he crated it for me. Cost me $150. Shipping is costing me another $550 business to business or $600 door to door, not bad.

I got the Raptor for $5K, no bad. The dealer said it is one he sold and still looks like new. The kids father told him he sold it because the kid never rode it. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] The dealer checked it out for me also and said it ran perfect and he didn?t see any problems. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

So, do you think I was crazy for buying it that far away and sight unseen?

so it costed you 6300 in total? how much are they brand new? i think you get a bad deal,

06 models lose about 200$ in value when 07 came out, and since its used, that should drop about 1000$ just because it rolled off the showroom floor., are 700rs 7500$ brand new?

$5000, + $550, + $150 = $5700 on my calculator.

I'm not sure about other places but a new 2006 on the West Coast still cost closer to $7000

From what I have said so far I would find it hard for it to be a scam unless an independant dealer was also involved who I found and had crate the Raptor for me, not the seller. LOL I think you are reading to much into it or not reading my post at all. No, I'm 100% sure it's real.

The best price I have found a lightly used 2006 Raptor has been $6000. Yeah I only saved about $300 but it was a learning experiance also. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Ebay has some of the best and worst deals, sounds like you did your homework.... congrats.

when my brother bought the 06 limited edition 700 i think it came out to a little of 12 grand but that was brand new and the first day they were out and the place only had one of them
