Yamaha 1984 Tri Moto 200L Clutch Problem, need help
#1
hey
My 3 wheeler is having alot of clutch slipping problems. When I would give it gas in first and stand behind it and hold onto the grab bar I could hold it back which leads me to the conclusion either when I put the clutches in i put them in wrong, or they need replaced. So I pulled the clutches and I have a few questions I was hopeing someone could help me with. In the primary clutch what way is the bearing supposed to turn clockwise or counter clock wise. And what way is the primary clutch supposed to sit inside its housing or does it matter.
Thanks, im not very good at explaning things..so please bear with me and if something needs to be explained better then ill do my best to help you.

From what i'm drawing from your questions, you've already replaced the clutch plates before? Was it slipping after you replaced it? Or was it ok for a while, and then started slipping again? And what kind of oil are you using in the trans? If it's not designed for wet clutches, that could be your problem.

I replaced the crank and I put the old clutches back in. it never ran before so im not sure if the clutches were no good to begin with or I put them back in wrong. Thats why im trying to figure out what way the one way bearing is supposed to turn and how to tell if the primary and secondary clutches are not working correctly.
