Default What year is this

I will check those things, I have been doing some research and I am going to pull the carb back off and try harder to get a jet out that I couldnt before, It may have alot to do with the problem. There was so much crud in it that once I cleaned out on all the orfices that I could get to it started right up but I think I am going get into it again.

I know that it needs alot of little things and some maintance but I figured since I paid 400.00 for it I could put a little cash into and have a decent ride?

Thanks

Square lights makes it pre 1996. There should be a white sticker on the frame, under the seat, from it Yam dealers can tell the model year of the bike.

Thanks, no sticker but found the engine number after a good clean and it matches the 9 digit code stamped on the frame which is a bonus 🤣. Spoke to a lady at yamaha and left the numbers with her . She's going to email me when she finds out 🤞
