ACCESSORIES FOR ATV?
#5
sorry guys, I am picking up a 450 Kodiak which will be used for light trail and hunting purposes. I am looking at buying a winch, mount, storage box and bags, hitch, a scabbord, bow holder and so on.

wish ya luck with the kodiak I heard it's a good bike let me know your impressions when you get it...as for parts and such try these: rockymountainatv.com bikebandit.com
Also make sure you don't baby the quad on the breakin period because you want the rings to seat properly and when the engine is new that is the best time to do so, so ride it like ya stole it and be careful...Welcome to the forums also

A full set of good skid plates are a must to protect your investment. With a-arms costing hundreds, and frames costing closer to or possibly over $1,000, it shouldn't be hard to justify spending $250 for some good underbody protection. Get aluminum ones, they're stronger, lighter, and don't rust, and steel ones are usually cheaply made in somebody's garage and never seem to bolt up right.
I can't ride trails without some hand guards as well. They protect your hands from debris and brush, whether it be from other riders, or stuff along the trail. During the winter they work just as good or better as heated grips to keep your fingers from freezing off. Actually the other night I went on a 10 minute blast down the road and around a field at around 50 mph the whole time, with no gloves, and about 40 degrees F outside, and my hands weren't any colder than if I would have been sitting still. It's amazing what hand guards will do, even small ones like the powermadds I have on my warrior.
