I have the Venom 3000lb (purchased off eBay). It comes with a 2006 plate which works just the same with my 2007.

I've only gotten stuck once in a creek bed bog. Sides of the creek went about 3 feet almost vertical so my only option was to winch up the other side. I've also winched my buddies Raptor sport quad out about a dozen times.

can u show me pics of the winch mounted?and do u think 3000lb is needed or its always better to go bigger?

 

3000lbs is definitely overkill. The 2000lb/2500lb models will be more than enough. I got the 3000lb model because it will have a slightly faster pull speed and a thicker cable. Only $20 bucks difference too so I thought what the hell.

I just installed one on my bike last weekend. I had to do some trimming to the front plastic piece infront of the radiator but it works well. i also got a venom winch off ebay and ive only used it once but it did the job.

Note that the top fairlead is not rusted, I accidentally blasted off the chrome with my pressure washer. Also, you can see where I had to cut into the radiator fin plastic. It can fit without cutting but puts a ton of stress on the body.

I have a 1500lbs warn. I love it. I have a ****** pulley too if i really get stuck. And yes i have been stuck many of times, maybe you guys arent looking for big enough holes. Last time i was stuck my exhaust was almost under water. Guess you could also call that stupied but i didnt know it was the rutted. any who.....

 

i dont like the fact you can see the wires running into the winch
