Bash

The 500 has a fair amont of mods done to it and im sure its a fair amount faster and quicker! curently the 500 is apart for a top end rebuild ( typical 2 stroke) and i am having the frame painted at the same time so i havn't run the two yet!! I will post results when I do. I would love to see a stock 500 and raptor shootout but am sure it is near imposble to find a stock LT500 !!!

Juvenile
Its good to see somone without all hype reply about the raptor that owns one, I didnt receive that july issue of atvaction I was going by what i read in dirtwheels, I seriously doubt it has more then 55Hp at the crank like they sugested!!! When or if you put a pipe or any other mods on your raptor let me know what you think of the Hp gain, It would be great to get some honest opinions!!!

Bad move the DS650 was tested faster than the raptor in the December issue of dirt wheels.
I really don't care as long as my scrambler can beat the 400ex in drags I'm happy.
2000 scrambler 400 2x4= 70MPH
2000 honda 400ex stock= 67MPH

2000 SCRAMBLER 400 2X4

Are you serious? The 500, not even 40hp??I guess that's rear wheel hp...something like the low 50s (or high 40s) at the crank...geez, the "recent" 500 put out 65 crank hp! I guess I'll have to build my 500 quad myself

They tested at the same top end, the Raptor has ALOT better lowend, which is what I prefer. IN all my experiances the Raptor always comes out on top. Even when I had my DS. the Ds is just not a full all around machine like the Raptor.

Thanks! I'll be waiting to hear from you when you get them both going at the same time.

SORRY, IM NOT JEALOUS OF A BIG YELLOW SUBMARINE. I KNOW YOUR BIKE WONT TOUCH 95MPH!!
THE RAPTOR SPANKS THE DS IN ALMOST EVERYTHING.

amtchad...I am sure your DS is very fast, but on the Dyno, it is just sitting still with do rider or wind resistance. I would estimate that 95mph would probably come down to around 85mph with a pilot on board in the wind. Still very fast.
