Raptor 350-enough power?
I am about to buy a raptor 350, drove it at the dealership...liked it, however once I get used to the bike will I be searching for more power?? I'm 25 years old 155 pounds, never owned an ATV before.. Should I look into a Honda 400EX? Would rather buy something more powerful now then mod the raptor 2 or 3 months down the road. Thanks for any advice. I will be using this 95% of the time on trails.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Thaaaaaats right! It depends on who you ride with, too. If everybody else has 350's it would be fine. My problem is I ride with people that have faster bikes than me. And a few of them are them type of friends that are always ragging me for having the slowest bike in the crowd. Thats why I say "you might want a 400EX", but for the most part, Im happy with my old Warrior. You just have to push the slower bikes and your riding to the limit and show them 450s whats up! On trails, you cant go but so fast anyway.

The Rappy 350 is a great learning quad. But you will be wanting more power fairly quickly. In the trails it is not too bad, except for the suspension, but if you get into sand, you will be wanting more power.
Can you find a used Warrior/400ex to learn on for a while then turn and sell it and get your money back out of it then look bigger?
The 400ex takes a $1000 jump over the Rappy 350. If you are thinking of skipping the 350 you also need to look at the Z400 and the Predator 500. They are both the same price as the 400ex.

GO WITH A 400!!! You will definately be sick of a 350 quickly. I have been for awhile and now i dont wanna stick money into modding so im going to get a 450 or preddy maybe a Z. If you just getting into riding try a used Z or EX. On my 350 i was thinking about lowering the front sprocket 1 tooth to get a little more umph out of it, but then i would be doing under 60 !! hope this helps..

Thanks everyone for the advice, I think I'll look into something a bit bigger. That brings up another question is the predator 500 going to be a better buy then the 400ex? It looked like a bigger machine and probably a little more then I need, but what do I know? I'm only 5'5 as well so I don't want to get anything too big. I can probably get a good deal on an 06 predator at my local shop.
