pro design filter clean.

Default pro design filter clean.

my raptor has a pro desigin filter and i need to know how to clean it. it has a red sleeve that goes over a bigger filter with metl on the inside. i need to know how to clean the inside filter. its foam. would a different filter b better?

They sell cans of foam filter cleaner or if its not too dirty you can wash it with some warm water. Make sure you let it dry for a few hours. Then you should apply foam filter oil or motor oil to the filter. The whole filter should be wet but not dripping wet of oil. Its normal for your exhaust to smoke a bit if you used too much oil. It will stop smoking after it burns all the oil off.

ya cause i got this cleaner that takes the oil of the filter and cleans it. and i also got the foam oil stuff. so do i just spray the bottom filter? and wash it out. then just apply more oil?

Yes. The back of the cleaner can should tell you how it wants you to use it. After its all clean and dry you just apply the oil. Make sure you work the oil into the filter with your hands. Inside and out. The oil does the filtering of the fine dust so make sure you work it in good. It should be all wet but not dripping wet. The red outer filter can just be dusted off.
