Default Grizz 700

I had a bad day with a 500. I heard complants with the battery and shifter. Magazines don't say anything about this. Yamaha is reliable. So is the quad good and how can I prevent this from happeing before I buy and what shouls I do?

Just picked up my new Grizzly last Thursday. The issue with the battery is that there is no pull starter backup if the battery fails. Some have expressed concern about this. I spoke with the dealer about this (Obermeyer Yamaha in Jasper, IN) and they stated that jumping it with another atv is no problem, but don't use a full size auto. They also said keep the charging amperage like a 2 amps when recharging the battery in the atv. I had my Kodiak for 3 years and never once needed the pull start, I wasn't too concerned. The shifter issue has been discussed on another topic on the Grizz. Honestly after just a couple of days of riding I can say that it is already getting easier to use. I rode today just around the neighborhood, and had no trouble like I did the first day or two. Other than that, love the new Grizz, looks great, performs outstanding, and the EPS is worth the money.

The pics are of the Kodiak. I hope to get some pics up of the new Grizz this week, maybe yet tonight. The old Kodiak was a great machine, but the Grizzly fits me better. The pipe on the Kodiak is a FMF Powerline and it was very loud, but that didn't bother me. The new Grizz pipe is a little quieter now, but you never know in 6 months or a year. It doesn't backfire at all. I think I read it adds about 6 hp with the pipe, kinda hard to tell, I am still breakin it in.

I got a blue grizz 700 yesterday. I will put pics on when I get a digital camera. Anyway I have not really went fast but the ride is nice and the power steering is 2 thumbs up!! The shifter is a little hard but I only rode it once and it has 8 miles on it. Thanks to everyone who helped me out to get the grizz. I need to know when should I change me front and rear diff oil. The manual stinks.

THANKS

I usually change my front and rear diffs when I change oil the first time at about 10 hours. Then maybe every 50 hours after that or if they are milky from water. I used to change my Grizz 600's rear gear oil after every ride, I think it had a bad seal or vent hose or something, it was always milky looking??
